Byebye Holidays

So fast, my holidays come to an end already. Returning to school next Monday, the laziness of doing it can't be expressed in words. Moreover, the incoming things are frightening me. 2 projects, 1 math test and the final exam, all to be done in less than 1.5 month time. OMG, i'm gonna miss this spring holiday. Haih, don't wana complain anymore, c'est la vie (this is life), this is why i give this name to my blog.

Speaking of the spring holiday, that day i called back home, my mum said :"What, u're on holidays again?" Haha, because in France we have many holidays. Normally there is a 2 week holidays after 1.5-2 month class. A system which i think is not bad because it allow us to take a breath after some while, not too hectic.

Feeling a bit guilty now cause i set a table of tasks to be done during the holidays but in the end i only finished 1/3 of them. No motivation, every year is the same thing, the 2 months before returning to Malaysia is the hardest period for me as i always hope that the summer holidays will come asap. Looking at my countdown clock, 49 days 10 hrs and 9 mins to go. Malaysia, wait for me!

Roller blading

Dunno y, i suddenly felt like to learn roller blading yesterday cos i saw something cool on the tv. Well, then wait for what? So i went to Decatlon (a big sport shop in France) after my brunch, as i woke up a bit late today.

Hemm...Not many choices. I'm beginner, buy a cheap pair should do. But the cheapest skates looked ugly and not comfortable, so finally i was forced to spend 50€.

1st, let's search 4 some tips from internet. OK, it seems like not so difficult. Put on the skates and i started at the corridor in front of my appartment. Since i know to ski and a bit ice skating, i managed to keep my balance and i've got no problem to go forward or to brake. But the corridor is too narrow, so i went to the carpark. I saw a slope and the demon urged me to try. Whoahhh, so fast, pakkkkk...Aduhhh...pain pain pain pain...Amazing, no blood, luckily my skin is thick enough. And luckily no1 saw it, if not i would dig a hole and go inside.

Hemm...too dangerous, betta go back to my corridor. Lol...

Bretagne - French kampung

So the holidays began last Saturday. A friend, Renaud invited me to his house in Côte d'Armor, Bretagne in France (of course, if not in Africa ar?). Basically, his house is located in a French kampung, but their kampung is different from ours, more developped at least. His family has a farm near the house, so once we arrived he led me to visit his piggeries. Well, u know what? i saw a 200++kg sow (female pig if u need a dictionary like me), it's actually quite scary when i 1st saw it. My god, a monster? Nyway the little piggies are cuter. He has another pet, guess what it is...a donkey. Haha, interesting. So the next few days he brought me around his village, kinda nostalgic 'cause i was a kampung boy also when i was little.

Not far from his village, there is a hill where you find neolithic tombs on top of it. Hehe, if you dunno what it is, you might think that it's some kinda stones 4 barbecue.

Furthur from his village we come to another town of Côte d'Armor, Lannion. We've a friend in Lannion and his father was very kind 'cause he drived us around to visit the town. The sea is only a few minutes from the town centre, the scenery is awesome, especially from the cliff. The sea is blue, not like the Tebrau black smelly sea. And there are a lot of giant granite stones.

Bretagne is the only French region which has its own langauge which is called Breton, but now less and less people know the language. They have a traditional food called crêpe in French, it's something like thinner version roti canai, so now let show u how to make it.

Well, the crêpe i made in the video was now really successful cause a side was a little bit too thick, but Renaud's mother said it was not bad 4 a beginner. And you don't laugh, go try and u'll know.

The family of Renaud is very kind and warm, i have had some conversation with them and they're curious about Malaysia, hope they'll visit Malaysia someday it'll be my turn to be their host. And they have a very cute dog called Tartine, it is a cute little thing which will jump onto your feet when you're eating, and it snores when it sleeps, so now i believe that dogs snoring in some cartoons are true.

Really passed a few pleasant days in Bretagne, and it's time to go back. Hemm...11 days more off, program program program...

Kevin's Cuisine

Finished my class yesterday morning, so i went to Carrefour to buy food after lunch. Ya, i think Carrefour is da only french supermarket which exist in Malaysia, so my friends, you sud b familiar with it, and in french it means crossroad and is pronounced KA-FU. OK, french lesson finish. Whoaa...many things on discount, if i didn't go by bus i sure buy lot more things.

As i walked through the promotion area, a strawberry aroma came straight to my nose, 500g strawberries for 1€?? Kidding me? These are fresh red smelling good and not rotten strawberries eh. And if don't take it, mama will scold me. Once i reached home, after taking this photo, i took 1 immediately and put it into my mouth...Sweet and juicy...My friends, don't be jealous ya.
Hemm...long time didn't eat burger ady, so i bought 1 packet of burger bun yesterday. I made 2 for my lunch this afternoon, 1 is beef burger(ready made beef for burger) and the other 1 is my own recipe. Inside got egg, tomato, crab stick, hot dog and mayonnaise+chili sauce. Emm...Oiishiiii!!! If i open a fast food restaurant McD sure bankrupt 1. Lol... And deng deng deng deng...Here is my masterpiece - Kevin's burgers. After 2.5 years in France, i've learnt to cook quite a number of different stuffs, betta than the ME who only knew how to eat last time. My next target is a few french dishes which i like but quite hard to prepare. If i succeed, your mouth and tongue will be lucky next time.

Well finally let me show you the masterpiece of which i'm proud the most. It's a christmas turkey which i prepared for the christmas party in 2006. Isn't it look nice?

Want some recipe? Tell me, haha...

Time thief

Sunday morning, i woke up a bit late, a bit only, at 12.45 p.m... Hay but i have excuse ok, because someone has come out with a stupid idea and stole 1 hour from me. 1 hour is a lot ok, i can do many things, like watch 1 episode of series, or 3 episodes of animes, or update my blog, or revise for my Spanish test...But...They add my 1 hour the the clock, say what to save energie, and now the sky is still bright at 8.30pm. zzz....

OMG, dunno how i'm gonna do in the Wednesday Spanish test. Got past tense and imperfect tense. I haven't even mastered the present tense, can't the prof just be a bit relax with us the new beginners??? That is not all, what i fear most is the listening test, Spanish speak like rockets, nonono, faster than rockets, don't undestand arr...? :'( 跟你们讲华语看你们怎么办...
Wish me luck ya...

Really looking forward to the summer holidays in Malaysia. 3.5 months to go, GOGO kevin go.

Adiós!

Gala ESTACA 2008

Went to the Gala of my school which was held in Paris last Friday. It's kinda dancing party, i mean disco of course, organised by the school every year. We took a bus to go to Paris, before Paris, my friends already got too excited and started to drink in the bus, and halfway through the journey, there's already someone who started to vomit.

So finally we reached at La Chesnaie du Roy, somewhere in Paris. There were poeple in formal costume everywhere, including me and surprisingly, i saw more girls than i expected because my school is a monk school, the girl-boy ratio is not even 1:10, and half of the girls in my school didn't go to the Gala. Kinda 柳暗花明又一春, exciting!!

Around midnight, the party got the its highest point, everyone was dancing at the dance floor. And this is the time also you see the most interesting things. You see 1 girl and 1 boy who don't know each others and as they danced, they can start kissing after 5 minutes, of course we're in France so you know how they kiss. Haha actually i really like to try this but well, i haven't reach that level yet, need to train hard 1st. Lol...

Then around 3 o'clock in the morning, you started to see drunk mad people. Some were vomitting in the toilet, some were holding a glass of drink and talking nonsense, and the worst fell on the floor and slept. I did take a few glasses of alcoholic drinks, but since i'm so good in drinking, Mo Man Tai, lol... At this time i was already exhausted after dancing for 3-4 hours. But i saw some of my friends were still energetic, maybe i should train myself harder if i want to come again next year.

The party ended at 5 a.m. Everyone slept in the bus on the way back. And suddenly i smelled something, holyshit, the guy in front of me VOMITTED!!! Merde......

Culture Differences

A friend showed me some announcement in a newspaper this morning. Announcement in newspaper, nothing special what...However, when i finished reading them, i was like "WTF, hahahaha!!!"

Guess what is the announcement about.
Don't get it?
Let me show u 1 of them.
"Recherche sex libre avec inconnu ( Searching free sex with stranger)"
Omg, #$%#@# what the hell is this? Cause i haven't seen this kind of thing before, not in Malaysia. No, it's mission impossible.

Still remember the 1st time when i came to France, i saw the front page of a pornography magazine in front of a Tabac(shop where we buy cigarettes etc). "Am i Dreaming??" Of course i wasn't cause i was in France. People are opened and so what if we sell porn magazines insides a Tabac? However if you do this openly in Malaysia, we'll catch you and sue you and belanja you makan nasi kari. So is this what we call culture difference?

When i went to a beach in Cannes last year, it was the 1st time i saw topless sunbathing. People don't really mind and there is no big deal about it. Before this, i had things totally different and sometimes spectacular, like tudung in the sea...^^' But i must praise them for their determination of not showing even a strand of hair.

However, don't get the wrong idea about western people. They are just more opened minded, and they do what they like without fearing of what others might think about them. This is a quality which asians rarely have.

Hemm...interesting. Without seeing this with my own eyes, i'll never believe how narrow minded i am used to be.
