A wonderful ski tripWonderful moment

Wonderful moment always passes very fast. Our short ski trip has come to an end so quickly and suddenly. Kinda sad 2 say bye to Lik, Kaya and Daniel after this trip, 'cause dunno know when can we meet again and i gotta get back to work. The pleasure of meeting secondary schoolmate in France is really great. And guess what, we even met Julian, Benedict, Renhan and others on the 1st da in Paris, what a coincident isn't. Of course it's time to show off my French.

Day 1:
I took Lik and kaya around Paris since Daniel only arrived on the 2nd day, sorry for him 'cause he needed to skip class to join us. After checking in our hotel, it was already a bit late. We went to Arc de Triomphe and dat's where we met Benedict and others. We had dinner together and there we seperated since they were tired and wanted to go back to hotel instead of Eiffel Tower, our next destination. Eiffel was nice that night, blue in colour, of course, we took lotsa photos of it. But g up Eiffel with em wasn't romantic at all, LOL!
To save money, i've booked a hotel near Saint Denis, which is a bit far from the centre of Paris, 2nd last station by Metro line 13. Lol, my sense of direction isn't that good at night, so we kinda got lost in the way back to hotel after visiting Eiffel Tower. But luckily we reached the hotel safely at last.

Day 2:
We've got limited time in Paris 'cause we were going to set off to Bourg Saint Maurice that afternoon after Daniel's arrival. So we woke up early in the morning to get some time to visit the Basilique du Sacre-Coeur. Me myself i haven't visited the place b4, so i was a "discovering tour guide", lol. There was a gang of african guys in front of the Basilique, offering to tourists colour bands. If you go there next time, don't accept it, or else they'll ask you for money for the worthless bands. Of course we were smart enough to reject it, but i think if i were not there, Alik might get cheated, lol.The journey to Bourg Saint Maurice was kinda long, it took more than half a day. Poor Daniel gotta sit in the train for 1 whole day. Finally arrived in Bourg Saint Maurice, but a very funny incident happened.

Me : Daniel, what time the train arrives?
Dann : 8.20 gua...(A while later)How come the train is reversing?
Me : Changing direction? That's y it takes so long time.
A guy came. "Gentlemen, you have arrived."
Me : "What? arrived? But it's moving now, dont't tell me it' heading to the next destination!!!"
Luckily it was not, it's only heading to the train parking at the station. Fuf...Lucky...
I found a vrvr cheap hotel in Bourg Saint Maurice, of course, a bit far, around 1km from the train station. What to do? Walk lor. The others were complaining of course. Weren't you? Heh?

After settling down, super hungry, DINNER!!!
Have you tried sweating in -3°C? You will when you just have a snow war, haha.

Day 3:
Alik woke every1 up, 'cause he couldn't sleep. LOL...But suddenly,
Kaya : Soon Lee, you come and see if i got fever.
WTF, don't joke man, 1st day of ski n you got fever? But finally he managed to go ski with us, luckily. So the ski lessons started for Dann n Kaya. Unluckily, there was no green piste in Les ARC. So there were forced to practice in blue piste. For your info, the piste levels are green - blue - red - black.
At night, the other 3 felt pain all over the body, Kaya and Dann understandable lar, kept falling ma. Alik 你凑什么热闹?Scenery outside our hotel room.

Day 4:
Christmas day. It was snowing in the morning, and it was my 1st white Christmas. Me and lik decided to go to discover ARC 1800(1800 m). We found an ideal place for Dann and Kaya to practice. So here we go.

Day 5:Wei, even if we're in France, don't do this in the puclic ler...

Last day of ski, Dann can already do "S" in the blue piste, but Kaya, u really need to Gambatte ler, haha, don't worry, next ski trip will be better. Me and Lik decided to challenge ARC 2000. The weather on top of the mountain was really extreme. The wind was strong and it was damned cold. We arrived at ARC 2000 but we didn't make up to the top 'cause the weather condition was really unbearable. I found great improvement in my skiing skill 'cause i didn't fall even once on the way down from ARC 2000. Tired, we stopped there ended this very fun ski trip.
We took night train to go back Paris. But before this, we had a buffet dinner. We have wanted to eat this since the 1st day but it was closed for Christmas. Luckily it was opened that day, or else we would break the its glasses.

Day 6:
Visited the damned cold Paris with our luggage and bags. Notre Dame - KFC - Louvre - Champs Elysées.Air SoonLee. Alik ur shooting skill not bad har.

Holiday

Finally on holidays. Actually i can say that my holidays started on Wednesday because i didn't have class yesterday and i only had 1.5 hrs class this morning. Alik, kaya and Dann are coming next week, we're going to SKI!!! So i took some time to go Decathlon to buy things that I'd need for ski. I said some time, but it actually took me 2 hours. And of course my pocket has got a big whole now.

Christmas is around the corner, all towns in France are decorated with colourful light decoration and so is Laval, and the decoration in Laval is one of the most beautiful i have ever seen, although it's just a small town. I purposely brought my camera so that i can take some picture of the beautiful Christmas decoration.

I'm not sure but i guess this year's theme is pyramids since there are pyramids of different colours and sizes all over.

Airbus Visit

Have been quite busy recently, so didn't update my blog for quite some time. Just visited the Airbus site in Saint Nazaire last Thurday, it was a one day trip organized by the Flying West association of ESTACA. This is my second visit to an Airbus site, last year i visited the one in Toulouse. But since each site is specialized in only certain parts of an Airbus plane, you can always see different things.

For your information, the largest passenger airliner in the world, A380 is an Airbus. 1 A380 has its different parts made in UK, Germany, Spain and France. All parts are then delivered to Toulouse to be assembled. A bit disappointed in my last visit to the site in Toulouse because we were only allowed to see the planes form far and were seperated by glasses. The visit to Saint Nazaire allowed me to approach and even touch a real A380, even though we only had a part of the A380 fuselage in this site. You really cant imagine how big the thing is and it's amazing that this thing can fly in the sky, i love aeronautics.

We were quite lucky that day because we have got the chance to see a real Beluga, which had just finished unloading parts to the site. The flight used by Airbus the deliver aircraft parts from site to site. Here is and image of it, its head let me think of the famous flower horn, lol...Why i said we were lucky? Because there are only 5 Belugas in the world, and you don't see them in normal airports.
What a pity, no photos are allowed in the site compound, if not i can share some of them with you. Nyway, i just simply took a few photos inside the bus, just not to waste my efford of bringing my camera, LOL...

And guess what, coincidently the son of the lady who showed us around is going to study in Kuala Lumpur for 6 months in 2 weeks time. She was so worry and she asked me a lot of questions like "What is the weather in Malaysia?", "Will we have any problem if we don't know Malay" etc...Haha, finally i gave her my email so that his son can contact me if he has any question.

This visit make me feel wanna do an internship in Airbus this summer, but the problem is that the places are limited and it's hard to get. Moreover, i haven't started to search for informations about the application. AIRBUS, open your door and wait for me!!!

Forbidden Love

After exam, super free, what to do? Watch drama lor. To make sure i can finish it in 2 days, i chose 1 with only 11 episodes. It's a Japanese drama named "魔女の条件" or "Forbidden love" in English. It's a story about a young and pretty high school teacher(Michi) who falls in love with one of his students(Hikaru). Because of the eastern culture and the abnormality of the love, it's forbidden by the school and the parents of both sides. Michi is then forced to resign from the school and is despised by the people around her. But the two lovers are so deep in love that nothing can break 'em.

...

Michi has the child of Hikaru, but due to some accident, she has to abort the child or else she will put her life in danger. She, of course, wouldn't want to do that, even if she dies. The determination of the pair finally touches their parents. And the ending of the story is too too beautiful. Michi who has been losing consciousness for 1 month because of losing too much blood due to her miscarriage, finally wakes up, with Hikaru by his side. Yeah, happy ending.

I do get some moral from this drama: do what you think is right to do and which can lead you to happiness and do not care about what others think about you, no matter in your love, carrier or whatsoever.

Guess what, the theme song of this drama is "First Love" by Utada Hikaru, haha, like this song even more now. I strongly recommend you to watch it if you have the chance, i bet i won't regret to watch it.

When can i watch my next drama??? Haih...

Not in post exam mood

Finally my 2nd year 1st exam came to an end today. Happiness is not in me as usual this time, because i've done quite badly. Except for Mathematics which i think i've performed "normally", and i hope this is the case, i've no confidence at all in all other subjects. Especially in Fluid Mechanics and Strength of Materials, i was like a dumb ass sitting in the exam hall. I read the questions over and over again, but just couldn't find the solutions. The feeling is so horrible.

In the afternoon, i went to cut hair, to see if it can change my mood as shown in movies. The result is not bad and my mood turned a bit better immediately, and this is why you still see this post.

Conclusion : When you're in bad mood, go cut hair, but find a good saloon, or else it can only make your mood wore, lol...

Anyway i'll have a quiet weekend, gotta enjoy it before works come (already i know that we're going to start a C programming project next week). Haih, as i say, c'est la vie...

Our brain is programmed

In ESTACA we not only learn to be an engineer, we have a class called "Connaissance de soi"(Self knowing). At 1st i found it very boring but since the class i had last week, i started to find the interesting part of it.

We talked about the human brain is programmed just like a computer. How a baby learns to walk? By programming his brain to synchronise his leg's movement. Another exemple is our mother tongue, which you can hardly forget it because they are programmed in your brain since you're small. I know this best because 2 months in Malaysia can make me forget my French but 1 year in France cant make me forget my Chinese. And there are a lot other exemples. Things that you don't do very often will be hard for you because your brain is not programmed to do it.

The prof showed us an image, which i've seen already so i was not tricked. It's an optical illusion image. Some people see a young woman while some see an old lady. Of course, i saw both, cause i said i've seen the picture before. What we see is normally what we used to see or what we always have in our mind.

Snow

I opened my window shutter this morning, i saw things falling from the sky. Rain was my 1st guess cause it rarely snows in the region where i stay. But to my surprise, it was snowing, or it is snowing(until now). No wonder it was cool when i went out yesterday. It is snowing, which means that the winter is coming too, oh nooo...

P.S.: Luckily i'm still in holidays, hard to go out when it snows.

Holidays

I have started my short short 1 week holidays last Saturday. It is the french 清明节, so all school in France got 1 or 1.5 week off. All my friends are back to home, sien. But i can finally get some rest. Although the timetable of this year is less packed than last year, but it's quite tiring to need to get up at 7 everyday in the morning. I like to 赖床!! And now is the chance!

Yesterday(Sunday) when i woke up, i looked at my alarm clock, WTF...12 o'clock!!! It was not normal 'cause normally i 赖 until 11 only and i will automatically wake up. Later on, i turned on my laptop, which has its time synchronized to internet time. It was 1 hour earlier than my watches and clock. Then i only realized that it was actually the day we changed back to normal time from daylight saving time. We have to set the clock back to 1 hour on this day, or more easily said, we gain 1 hour on this day.(see at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daylight_saving_time). It means that i woke up at 11 o'clock yesterday as usual, my body is synchronized to internet time?!?! Lol...

Btw, i put on my braces last Tuesday, and now i'm having hard time to eat. I have to cut everything into small pieces before put them into my mouth. And it is very uncomfortable as well, can't believe that i have to wear it for 2 years :'( But the good thing is that my braces are made of ceramic, they have the teeth colour so they are not too obvious. Why luckily? Because if not later sure got people call me 钢牙1...

Ski Trip Planned

Yeah, finally i got the ski trip planned. Everything is booked and now we can go ski!!! Btw, i hate planning things, so troublesome, need to check so many things. I think i've spent at least 6 hours on internet, pity my poor eyes. So Kaya, Lik and Dann, u all owe me 1 meal har, lol...

Btw quite excited, can go ski again!!! I wanna see Kaya and Dann fall down, since they are beginner, so be ready u 2. But with me as your teacher i think u will learn very fast 1, lol...Hope everything wili go as in the plan, later.

I have been quite busy+lazy over the last 2 weeks, so my poor blog was abandoned for some time.
Busy - Rushing my internship report and preparing my 1st maths test.
Lazy - No explanation...
I am addicted again with the stupid dota, 'cause i found a software which allow me to play with players around the world. This is also 1 of the reasons why i haven't updatd my blog for 2 weeks. Sien lo, when i'm studying right, my fingers will suddenly feel itchy, then i have to play 1 game b4 continuing my revision. My doctor friends, do you have a medicin to treat this symptom? Lol...

Some update about me for my fans, since you all are so eager about it, LOL...I'm undergoing treatment for my broken teeth result of the pnuemothorax, i need to put braces for two years!!! Sien...The treatment is not covered by the social security in France, so my pocket will be quite KOSONG in these two years, 'cause the treatment is very expensive in France. I don't realy feel like having this treatment cause i'll face difficulty to eat during these 2 years, but what to do? C'est la vie...

Japanese class in ESTACA

I received a mail from a 3rd year french born japanese yesterday, who is seeking for people interested in learning the Japanese. If we can form a small group of at least 10 people, then we can have Japanese class in the school. Wheew! I want to learn japanese since a long time, but b4 this my school only proposes chinese, spanish and german as 2nd language. No choice, i picked spanish.

Reply from the 3rd year this afternoon, we now have 22 positive replies, and there are more to come, which means it's quite possible that we'll have japanese class in ESTACA this year! Now we wait the school administration to contact the jap prof and insert classes in the timetable. Let's hope that we can start it asap, so that i can watch One Piece without subtitle, understand Ayumi's songs etc...

ESTACA Integration Day

The last thursday was ESTACA's Integration Day for the 1st years. This is a day full of fun. 1st, all 1st year students must dress up themselves into Peter Pan. This year's theme was better cause the theme of my year was chick...Then we got a lot of activities and games. As a 2nd year student, this year i can play on those "bizuts"(1st year students in french). We've got a lot of things like shaving mousse, detergent etc to make those bizuts as dirty as possible, but we got dirty as well, this is the principe of action and reaction i learn in Physics, lol.

A tradition during the ESTACA Integration Day - Car making and racing. Basically the bizuts will be divided into teams, they need to make a "car" with whatever they can find and race with their car. This year, i really saw some nice works, good job bizuts.

We've got a barbeque and motorcycle stun show afterwards. The performers invited were really great, and it's quite amusing to see those stuns with your own eyes. So here are some photos and video of the day.

Actually there was supposed to have another treasure hunting game in the afternoon on that day, but due to the rain, it was postponed to the next Thursday. OK, another chance to have fun, haha!!!

Injured. Again?!

As i said i decided to be more active in sport this year. So i went to play basketball yesterday afternoon with my classmates. At first it was quite fun and i was the 1st to score. But later on, i had a crash on the ground in order to save the ball. Damn, scratched my shoulder, legs and worst of all my chin!! And i hurt my right palm also in the fall, feel pain when i grip my palm. So no more basketball for some days, go study!

Yea speaking of study, i had a few classes yesterday and today. OMG, i was like an idiot copying things that i didn't understand. But luckily, not only me, most of my friends were like that too. And this is only the beginning, #@&*%$§...

School reopen

So yesterday i FINALLY returned to shool, sound like i looked for it but actuall not at all. Schedule:

10 - 11.30 a.m : Informations
1 - 4.15 pm : Class (Strength od materials)

WTF, first day we already had a 3 hour continuous class. Hello, i have just fnished a 2.5 month holidays ok, relax a bit! Tried my very best to concentrate in the class, sometimes my mind voyaged back to Malaysia, or to places other than the class. OMG, what a tough start. And i realised also that i've forgotten quite a lot of things after the holidays.

Went to play basketball in the evening, i've decided to do more sport this year, to keep fit, lol. But i wonder how long can this last, since the weather turns cooler each day. And it rains the whole day today, cant't even go out...

At night, lazy to open book, let's keep the pace slow, it was only the first day. So i switched on the tv, emm...my laptop with tv card actually. Many nice shows, watched Karate Kid, a film i quite like. and Ring(贞子), which i only watched halfway and i ZZzzzz....Didn't see the 贞子 climb out from the tv. Haha, if not maybe i can't even sleep at night, lol...

So my school reopen day ended like that, next week is the orientation week, sud have some fun. Wait and see how we play those first year students. Hahaha!!!

Msia Holidays Part 3 + Back In Fance

Okie, so here i'm, back in France. There weren't many things going on in part 3, all we did were playing basketball, badminton, bowling, dota...Haha, so no picture no pictures to be updated, except for pics of my farewell, here it is, 1 of 'em.

2nd year is going to start soon, haih, a bit "sien" thinking of what i'm gonna face after relaxing for 2.5 months. Before the sch starts i already started to think of when sud i go back next summer, lol...But it's not sure that i can go back 'cos i need to do my internship in France, God bless that i can find 1 which allows me to go back a while.

Luckily, the journey going back to France is much more smoother than going back to Malaysia. No Flight delay, no missing luggage. So MAS isn't that bad as i said after all. LOL...Amazing, after 12 flight, i wasn't that that tired as always. Arrived at CDG airport at 6.30 am, went to Paris Montparnasse train station to take my train to go back and reached home at 1pm. After calling home and had Maggi lunch, i went directly to Carrefour to buy food, don't expect me to eat Maggi everyday. And that's not all, gotta unpack my luggage and tidy up my room 1st. But sure, at night, i've got a very nice sleep.

1 week before sch starts, but there's a lot of things to be done. Bills to pay, internship reports to wite...ohhh! I miss my holidays!!

Malaysia Holidays Part 2 - KL Trip

Tadaaa...Part 2 is out. This time i went to Kuala Lumpur. Spent 5 days there, stayed in a hotel call Alik's house, and we got a Mercedes with a lousy GPS system to go out, cool isn't it? Overall the trip was fun, went to a few different places, but too bad Fong Yeng you were not with us, or else we'd have more fun...Nvm, got photos for you.

1st day : Sunway Pyramid
We went to ice skating. Beh and Lik, i won you 2 for this time, haha!! Bully me in Dota lar...But since malaysia is hot, the ice melted very fast, and after a while the floor's no more "skatable".Group photo before going out. Woah, i so tall 1? Ah Beh, don't act cute, not cute at all...Lol...Our dinner - BBQ. Oishi! (not Ko-Yi-Si, pronouce properly) In front of Sunway Lagoon. The background isn't bad, but can't see my handsome face clearly leh...
